every one's experience of grief and coping mechanism is different. it is super draining to listen to comparisions.
The doctor's words still rankle - "you're lucky" Srikanth's condition was diagnosed late after age 60😔. Like, what even is that comparison? We just want our loved ones healthy, period 🙏
And then the bank manager' said 'i can understand madam, my father passed away 2 months ago.... losing a partner is different from losing a father 😤. Comparisons don't help, they just make it worse.
People often try to relate through their own experiences, but it doesn't diminish the pain 😔. Everyone's grief is unique - losing a partner, kids, or a friend are different kinds of loss. Comparisons don't help. I know people mean well, but sometimes feel like screaming, but it's better to just listen 🙏.
Now i am apprehensive when people say they want to come meet me...😭😧
