cake delivery & Cricket

  

we had to deliver these cakes to Sarjapur. since there were two boxes i accompanied akka. I was surpised to see the road deserted. then i realized it was the Cricket finals. i enjoyed the ride thoroughly, imagining i was riding in a open jeep and taking deep cool breath of air 😆. winter is heralding its arrival there is a definite nip in the air. my imagination hit  a rock when we reached really bad roads and had to balance our cake boxes. 😆

the destination was quite far, barely any street light and location was unknown to us.
Malavika asked the autowala, if he was willing to drop us back...and he readily agreed, saying
ನಾನೂ ಅದನ್ನೇ ಯೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದೆ. ಖಾಲಿ ಹೋಗ್ಬೇಕಲ್ಲಾ?  ಎರಡು app ಒಪನ್ ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಂಡದಿದ್ದೆ..ಆದರೆ ಇವತ್ತು ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ ಇದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ.. ಯಾವ್ದು ರೈಡ್ ಸಿಗ್ತಿಲ್ಲ' ಅಂತ. ಮನೆ ತಾವ ಬುಡಬೇಕಾ?
ಅಕ್ಕ : ಬಿಡಿಲಿಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗತ್ತಾದ್ರೆ  ಬಿಡಿ. ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ರೆ ಹತ್ತಿರದ ಬಸ್ ಸ್ಟಾಪ್ ಗೆ ಬಿಟ್ರು ಆಗುತ್ತೆ.
ಬೇಡ ಮನೆ ಹತ್ತರಾನೇ ಡ್ರಾಪ್ ಮಾಡ್ತೀನಿ...

while returning...after traversing half distance.. vehicles were again on the road. i said to akka 'oh traffic again, i think India lost the match'
'how come u know'
me: lots of vehicles, no sound of crackers...

this was a cute cake. the auto wala drove us very carefully. the roads as we approached  near to the cake delivery location was very very very bad.

we thanked him profusely for driving us carefully and dropping us back and akka gave him a big tip 🙂🙂🙏
