Credit

 She had just received the man booker prize for her novel

Her husband asks her 'how come you have not given credit to your family, not acknowlegded them?

I never lie, why should i now? Asks the wife?

I have done my cooking cleaning, going out to work, did all the other chores like paying the bills, going to childrens' school etc. I have sacrificed my sleep and worked on my book during weekends without troubling you all, without making you sacrifice anything!! So why lie with credit?

After all, what have you done to deserve credit, but tease me about my writing?

You are into research. I respect that!! But when your funds were late in coming, it was with my money that took care of finances/expenditures. I have never troubled you with anything. I have even hosted dinner parties for your friends and colleagues. Have you ever given credit to me in your thesis? 

Come to think of it have you ever made me a cup of tea?
