ತೆಂಗಿನಕಾಯಿ ದಿನ (my 500th post)

We konkani s cannot survive without coconut. The used shells i give to gangadhar our istriwala (i have saved his contact number as 'ironman'much to the amusement of my family members) Gangadhar is very enterprising. His day begins at 4 am. Gangadhar owns an autorickshaw. He goes to buy fresh flowers from K.R.Market, for distribution to households in our apartment complex. Next he gets milk. Other than ironing (he has his relatives from his native to do ironing), he is in charge of bottled water. He also rents out homa kunda (ಹೋಮ ಕುಂಡ), banana stem holders during pooja, sand etc. Not only that if we need to catch a bus early in the morning, he drops us to the nearest bus stop...😊. Topic changed from coconut to gangadhar. Gandhar speaks ಅಚ್ಚ ಕನ್ನಡ,  is always dressed neatly in mundu and full sleeved shirt and his forehead is always annoied with bhasma. Should get his pic to post here.

Rest of the shells i give to BBMP ladies and some i keep for my barbecue.
