ಅವರು ಸಿಂಡಿಕೇಟ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕಿನ ಅತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಜನಾನುರಾಗಿ ಮಹಾ ಪ್ರಭಂದಕರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರ ತಂದೆ ಶ್ರೀ ಸಂಜೀವರಾವ್ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ ಹೋರಾಟಗಾರರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರ ಸ್ಮಾರಕಾರ್ಥ ತಮ್ಮ ಹುಟ್ಟೂರು ಕುಂದಾಪುರದ ಕಂಭದಕೋಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 'ಸಂದೀಪನ' ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಸಮುದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಗುಣ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸೇವೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಬಿ.ಟಿ.ಎಮ್. ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಆಫಿಸರ್ಸ್ ಕೋ ಆಪರೇಟಿವ್ ಹೌಸಿಂಗ್ ಸೊಸೈಟಿ ಲಿ. ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳಿಗೆ ನೆಲೆ ನಿಲ್ಲುವಂತಹ ಅವಕಾಶವನ್ನು ಇತರೇ ಮಿತ್ರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ರೂಪಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

With deep regrets we inform you that Sri K.S. Prakash Rao, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of IDF left us today. May his soul rest in peace.
He was one of the few very popular General Manager of Syndicate Bank for his humane approach in administration. In memory of his father Sri Sanjeev Rao, who was a freedom fighter, he had established and nurtured ‘Sandeepan’ educational institution at Kambadakone village in Kundapur taluk giving access to quality education to rural community.
He took the lead in establishing housing layout to bank staff and is President of Bank Officers Cooperative Housing Society Ltd without which the common bank staff would not have the opportunity to find a roof in an unaffordable Bangalore.
We miss you Sir.
