The Open Road- Short film shot on i pad mini

(This post is for the reader from Novi, Michigan who faithfully visits my blog, (sometimes twice in a day) everyday :-))

My daughter Niharika Shenoy's attmept at making a short film on the i pad.

I knew she was tinkering with the i pad when we travelling to Belgavi from Bengaluru. But i had no idea that she was filming me. The AC compartment of the train (even ac bus and cars) always has a claustrophobic effect on me. i am used to open spaces/windows with the wind blowing on my face where i can breathe freely. So on that particular trip i was up most of the night, much to the tension of the TC who occupied the berth below me. He asked me repeatedly if i wanted to shift to some place else so that i would be comfortable. I said No,  i had trouble sleeping and told him not to worry. He was a nice chap. he did not forget to say good bye to me when he alighted at hubbali. :-)

Early the morning, (in benglauru we had gone for almost a week without a glimpse of the sun) it was a glorious sunshine on the stretch from Dharwad to belgavi. Suddenly in front of me was a field where the harvesting was done and the dry hay laid in a dome like fashion. next to it was a white pea hen and her pea chicks feeding near by a make shift machaan,  all suffused with a golden glow.I t was indeed a divine moment. Wanted to capture that moment on the i pad but i realised it was with Niha and and that scene had already passed on. All the while Niha was filming me. As the sun light grew stronger i fell into a deep slumber for a while....so that is the real story behind the film :-)

Story, choice of music and voice over is Niharikas. me and my niece Sammy, feature as mother and daughter. :-)

So watch and enjoy this short film

thank you

:-)
