After 66 days of being at home, me and akka ventured out into the new normal. Pro-COVID & new normal are the in thing now.
We had to get some urgent baking essentials. People from our apartment also are availing goodies from #biscootfactory all these days we ordered baking paraphernalia through dunzo. There were a few blunders. Yesterday we needed to choose what we wanted, hence went out.
As soon as i put on my 'going-out' clothes i realized i had lost weight, so clicked a pic to send to my sis ...for early this morning when she called she said she had put on a few pounds.
If there is one person who i feel has benefitted from the lock down, it is she. Though she is a stay at home mother of two, she has no respite. Two different timings for the girls' school pick up and drop, car pooling, volunteering at the school, look after her aged mother-in-law, take her to doctor, grocery shopping, driving the kids to badminton, music classes, hosting dinner every few days, gardening etc...i always felt she is always on wheels....to add to that both her girls are lactose intolerant..so when ever she is invited to parties she has to pack interesting food for the girls, cook soft white rice for the M-I-L...
One person who did not take well to the lick down is a close family friend, a businees tycoon, multi millionaire friend of ours. He has a well disciplined life. Get up early, go for walks, then play badminton, come home, have breakfast and getting ready for work, meetings, travels....always busy...i remember once i had told him to take a break and he mentioned he would like to breathe his last while he is busy at work. Sitting at home has affected his mental health.
Me, for a while i was agitated and missed my daughter, missed going out badly..now i am calm all of a sudden.
Glad i can pin my thoughts in blog.
