Metal Wire puzzles

There was this man selling some twisted metal wire contraptions  on the pavement in Malleshwaram. I was intrigued by the various  contraptions in his basket. I asked him what they were for. He said lot of engineering students buy his puzzles and showed me what i had to do ,( maze like wire puzzles and i had to separate/unentangle them )  and gave me one to try. Believe it or not i solved the puzzle within 2 minutes and happily showed it to him thinking he would be impressed/ pleased.

I really do not know what came over him,  he was pissed off. he said i knew all about the game and having fun fooling him at his expense, a poor man who had to sell items on the pavement to make a living. Me and my husband were at our wits end and also had to contend with the dirty looks given by the onlookers and passersby for the seller was lamenting too loudly for our comfort. I bought two metal wire puzzles from him to pacify him.

For the three years i had those contraptions i couldnot solve the puzzle . Every free time was spent with these puzzles . It was great fun. Just when i feel i have unentangled them they r into a tangle again. :-)

Finally when we were about to shift to our own place and also by this time the metal wires had rust in them so i disposed them

Today saw another man selling these wire puzzles and was reminded of the above incident. Also waiting for my husband who has promised to take me out to lunch. Had time on hands hence this quick post
